I am a physician with undergraduate and graduate training in electrical
engineering (Carnegie Mellon University and M.I.T.). Your web site and Java
illustrations are superb. I have recommended this site to a number of
people. You have done a remarkable job, and I appreciate your efforts.

I wish I had these kind of tools in 1966 when I entered into study of
electrical engineering. Please keep up the good work. This really is quite

It is reassuring to know that the applets will remain on the web for the
forseeable future. Since I wrote to you, I've had the opportunity to view
other applets by you. They are even better than I first believed, so I wish
to congratulate you on a job very well done. I'm a physics professor at the
University of the Pacific in Stockton, California, and have put links to
three or four of your applets dealing with sound and light on my web page.
My page serves as lecture outlines which I follow during lecture and also as
a study guide for the students; I plan to link to many more of your applets
as I continue to develop the lecture guides.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by your sending me the applets; I can't see
how that would be necessary, since I have full access, I think, to everything
you've put on the web (dozens of applets). Perhaps you're referring to the
source code?

Thanks again for a job extremely well done. Do you have any applets relating
to thermal expansion? My first lecture this semester is this coming
Wednesday, and it deals with temperature and expansion.
