Riding in an elevator

Great site!  I was hoping to find a simulation of the classic "riding in an elevator" problem, including the initial acceleration upward, the constant speed during upward motion, then the acceleration downward to slow the elevator to a stop, and then the whole thing coming back down again, and how it affects the reading on a bathroom scale.  I looked for one but did not find one anywhere on this site.

I just created another simulation and I hope it is what you wanted!
The elevator is at rest initially. You can drag the slider to change it's acceleration.
The effected mass is shown and the length of the spring changed (according to the effective mass).



Registed user can get files related to this applet for offline access.

love this topic i was suffered from physics most of the time but this is great for me..
