A projectile is launched straight up at 141 m/s. How fast is it moving at the top of the trajectory? Suppose it is launched upward at 45 degrees above the horizontal plane. How fast is it moving at the top of its curved trajectory?

what do you notice about the vx (instantaneous velocity in x direction ) ?

hint: vx = 100 m/s
extra fact: notice vx = 100 m/s = ux (initial velocity in x direction) because it is a motion in x direction without any acceleration ( ax )  so it is unchanged

If air resistance is not considered in projectile motion. The only external force is gravitation force.
So projectile only accelerate in the vertical direction and the horizontal velocity is constant.
