I tried to connect my Logitech web cam to ejs through the web cam component., with the parameters:
url: http://127.0.0.1
Mjpeg: false
with [b:41ba524c23]abyss web server[/b:41ba524c23] the responce from the console was:
[b:41ba524c23]image format exception not a jpeg file[/b:41ba524c23]

Is there any other way to connect the web cam?
Do i do something wrong?

If I am not wrong, the WebCam element only works properly for web cameras that run an associated http server. A basic WebCam connected to your computer doesn't run this service, I am afraid.

(I have, nevertheless asked someone who knows better than me.)

If your web cam is plugged in and turned on, and you point your browser to http://127.0.0.1, do you see anything?

I have solved the problem the following way:
found abyss portable web server pointing at localhost
found a program that captures .jpg from the web cam.
Put the jpg image in the web server.
The problem now is that i take pictures every 8 seconds and not streaming.

Instead of a "web server" per se, can you find a "streaming video server" instead?
