I'm looking for an animation that shows how an internal electric field in a conductor causes drift velocity (and hence current) to the randomly moving electrons. I've looked everywhere but to no avail. I would like to show the animation in class to my applied physics students.

Could you provide a picture show direction of the current, relative direction of electric field,...
It is better if you also provide magnitude for related physics quantiies: current, E field, number of charged,...etc you have in mind.

I need to know what you really need to create simulation.
