This simulation is to recreate Walter Fendt's Newton's Second Law applet (http://www.walter-fendt.de/ph14e/n2law.htm). The sim is aligned with the Force Lab in Modelling Instruction. The outcome is for learner to formulate F = ma with experiment conducted with motion sensor, rather than light gate, found in most Singapore secondary and junior colleges science laboratories.

Pre-requisite knowledge
- Kinematics graphs
- Nature of forces
- Understand idea of resultant force
- Effect of gravity on mass, i.e., gravitational force

Investigate how the resultant force on a system affect its acceleration.

• Please feel free to post your ideas about how to use the simulation for better teaching and learning.
• Post questions to be asked to help students to think, to explore.
• Upload worksheets as attached files to share with more users.
Let's work together. We can help more users understand physics conceptually and enjoy the fun of learning physics!
