Hi everyone.

I really hope you can help me out with this.

I'm trying to build a lens adapter using cylindrical lenses to make the horizontal angle of view wider by 33% while trying to reduce chromatic aberrations on the sides. If I'm not mistaken, I should use a negative meniscus on the far end, a positive one behind and an achromat between the adapter and the actual lens to avoid aberration, but I'm particularly lost with the focal length of the elements needed for such deformation to be exact and even from center to edge.

It would be great if you could help me.

Thanks a lot!

Could you explain what do you mean by "horizontal angle of view"?
Could you provide a simple diagram?

Why you need to consider "chromatic aberrations"?
Is it really a problem for your application?
