Hi everyone ^^  Cheesy
I am very weak at physics, so I hope that someone may help me with these questions

1.  The frequency f of the note produce by a streched string depends on its length l the tension T of the string and the mass per unit lenght m of the string. Use the method of dimension to derive an equation for f.

Because the question assume frequency f depends on tension T, length L and mass per unit lemgth m

Assume the relation is f= TaLbmc
The dimsnsion must be the same on either side of the equation

Dimension for f is 1/t
Dimenswion for T is M L /t2, dimension for m is M/L
 1/t = (M L /t2)a Lb M/Lc=Ma+cLa+bt-2a

so -2a=-1 , a+c=0 and a+b=0

I am also a physics student upto high school, but have never been able to catch these solution. Now I wish to do Bachelor in science, this is somehow helpful for me.
