The following simulation show relations between displacement(x), velocity(v_x), acceleration (a_x=-k*x/m),force(F_x=-k*x), kinetic energy(K=\tfrac{1}{2}m*v_x^2) and potential energy(U(x)=\tfrac{1}{2}k*x^2)

Drag the blue object at one end of the spring and let go.

Drag force is added. 2011/03/18 F=-k*x-b*v_x

Embed a running copy of this simulation

Like the speed controller on the right slider allow for speedy exploration by students
Like the Drag the blue object at one end of the spring and let go, clear instruction on what the applet can do.
