You can drag the light source to different place or change the index of refraction for the material.
If the index of refraction is larger than 1.414 (square root of 2) , all the light enter the fiber will be totally reflected at the boundary.

Hi Fu-Kwun,

Is it possible for user to choose the number of rays shown in the applet when played? Sometimes, I just want to show one ray, sometimes two, sometimes more.

Thank you.

O.K. I modified the code. Now, you can click "setup" check box.
Then use mouse to drag the red arrow to change the direction for the light path.
If you want to setup more than one light path, drag the "id" slider and drag the arrow again to setup it's direction. You can click the link "Usage" below the simulation for an flash animation which will show you how to do it. I hope this is what you want.
