This applet is Wave reflected from a wall:interference between original wave and reflected wave
Design by prof Hwang, Modified layout by Ahmed.
Original applet Wave reflected from a wall:interference between original wave and reflected wave
The following simulated a circular wave propagate.
When wave bounce with a wall, a reflected wave is generated.
You can find out interference pattern between the original wave and the reflected wave.

You can use sliders to change wavelength(r) or speed(v) of the wave.
The location of the wave source can be changed with mouse drag (in the x-direction only).

  • Please feel free to post your ideas about how to use the simulation for better teaching and learning.
  • Post questions to be asked to help students to think, to explore.
  • Upload worksheets as attached files to share with more users.
Let's work together. We can help more users understand physics conceptually and enjoy the fun of learning physics!
