Title: Induced voltage by shaking a magnet through a solenoid applet request
Post by: entomopter on June 07, 2008, 09:14:26 am
Dear sir,
I am currently investigating how could i increase the induced voltage by the method above. Can you pose some applet regarding it which will help me to understand the matter better. Thanks in advance.

The method above???

Please let me know the original simulation you are talking about?

shaking the magnet through a solenoid to produce emf(induced voltage).

When we push a magnet in and out from a coil, we actually generate emf,i wanted to know the emf generated depends on what.Thanks....sorry for the unclear statement.

Is this what you are looking for? Use slider to change the position of magnet and find out what will happen!

yup...its very good.Thanks.I wonder if you can post some tutorials on building your own applet using easy java simulation(ejs).I downloaded it but i don't know how and where to start.I think a basic one will help beginners like me to make their own applet. Thanks for that post again.

Please check out SWF movie show step by step instructions to create java simulation with EJS (http://www.phy.ntnu.edu.tw/ntnujava/index.php?topic=656.0) first.

how can i increase other parameter to the applet? like the diameter of the wire, what happens when parallel solenoid is connected together, the changes of magnetic field strength and the changes of soft iron?thanks

The diameter of the coil itself would not affect the result much.
When you have parallel solenoid, just like to of the above simulation with different distance and sum the result together.
The source code is available and you can create one for yourself.
I created the above applet to help user understand the physics.
