Title: Modified Atwood Machine lab (Investigate F proportional to a) Post by: LeeTl on April 02, 2013, 06:52:23 pm This simulation is to recreate Walter Fendt's Newton's Second Law applet (http://www.walter-fendt.de/ph14e/n2law.htm). The sim is aligned with the Force Lab in Modelling Instruction. The outcome is for learner to formulate F = ma with experiment conducted with motion sensor, rather than light gate, found in most Singapore secondary and junior colleges science laboratories.
Pre-requisite knowledge - Kinematics graphs - Nature of forces - Understand idea of resultant force - Effect of gravity on mass, i.e., gravitational force Task Investigate how the resultant force on a system affect its acceleration.
