Hello.
I really need an applet, this has to read o hear an audiofrequence by pc microphone (440 hz, La, for example) an show a color (purple for example), for educational purpose i need it with 48 frequencies (4 octaves of a regular keyboard) and 48 colors (4 series, each one lighter than previos series of twelve colors), i preciated you help, thanks.

There is an applet to show sound spectrum and play sound effect: EJS version of Fourier Synthesis (You can hear the sound,too!) (http://www.phy.ntnu.edu.tw/ntnujava/index.php?topic=1073.0)

You might want to check out audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/) if you want to record and show sound spectrum.
