Title: Is it possible to convert jar files (created with EJS) to swf?
Post by: yperego on February 14, 2011, 07:20:57 pm
Hi Prof.
I wonder if there is a way (programme, software or code) to convert jar files created with this great software to swf files.
I have to notice that your apllets are very impressive and i d like to congratulate you for all this work.
With my respect...

Flash is used to create animation while EJS is a tool to generate java simulation byte code.
They are two different software, and I do not think there is a way to convert jar file to swf file.
Jar file is actually a zip file, which contain many java class files and related resource files.
While swf is a binary file which contain code generated with flash.

Jar file has the same file structure as ZIP file.
You can use any un-compress program (e.g. 7ZIP) to extract files from jar.

I believe you can do it if you already install WinZip at your PC.

You can download form here WinZip (http://www.winzip.com/downwz.htm)

But be sure in not possible convert EJS jar file to SWF is diffrent language, as prof Hwnag explain.

Good luck!
