Title: EJS version of Vector addition (sum of two vectors) Post by: Fu-Kwun Hwang on October 11, 2009, 02:59:59 pm This is EJS version of vector addition (http://www.phy.ntnu.edu.tw/ntnujava/index.php?topic=51.0).The applet shows how vector $\vec{C}=\vec{A}+\vec{B}$ was calculated.1. Calculate X,Y components of vector $\vec{A},\vec{B}$,   $\vec{C}_x=\vec{A}_x+\vec{B}_x$ and    $\vec{C}_y=\vec{A}_y+\vec{B}_y$2. If you un-check x-y mode:  The sum is equal to sum of parallel components of $\vec{A},\vec{B}$ in the direction of $vec{C}$,   $\vec{C}=\vec{A}_p +\vec{B}_p$  and the normal component of $\vec{A},\vec{B}$ always cancel out with each other. i.e.   $\vec{A}_n+\vec{B}_n=0$ or $\vec{A}_n= -\vec{B}_n$You can select to operate in C=A+B , A=C-B or B=C-A mode.
