a jet plane is in flight 40m above the ground. Suddenly the terrain slopes upward at a degree of 3.70 degrees. The plane's speed is 1300 km'h. How long does the pilot have to make a course correction to avoid flying into the ground?

This seems to be a math problem.
The terrain slopes upward at a degree of 3.70 degrees, the height is 40 m.
So you can calculate the horizontal distance before the airplane flying into the ground.
From the distance and the velocity you can find the time.

However, from physics point of view.
There is no way you can change the direction at an instance time.
If the direction is change at shorter time, very strong force is required.
Force is propotional to the rate of change of the momentum.
And flying just 40 m above the ground is very dangerous!
