This java applet let you play with two point sources and watch the effect of interference.

 Usage:
Move you mouse within the above area
The path length between mouse cursor and the two wave source are shown in unit of wavelength ( 2.2 means 2.2 times wavelength)

and click the mouse button at any point you like to start the animation.
Click the mouse button toggle the animation (resume/pause).
You can click at the right point source, and drag the mouse button to change its location.
Enter the value in the textField to change the wavelength.
     Click Reset for default values.

I got the source file, but it does not work offline. I have the latest Easy JAVA Simulations programm, but it does not recognise the "class" file extensions. Please help! What should I do?

Simulations I created before 2001 were not generated with EJS. So I put those simulation under category :  JDK1.0.2 simulations (1996-2001): all the simulation in this category are created with JDK1.0.2
Java class files and the html content are available for download as ZIP file.
Unzip the file you have download and open the html file with your browser to view the simulation.
It should work fine if you have java installed. (I just checked it again.)

Simulations created with EJS can be found under  Easy Java Simulations (2001- ): EJS source and generated jar files are available for download.
