Welcome to the Department of Physics at the National Taiwan Normal
University. Our department was established in 1962 and currently offers
B.S., M.S., as well as Ph.D. programs. At present we have twenty-nine
full-time, one part-time, and one adjunctfaculty members, along with
fifteen full-time teaching assistants.

Typically we have 300  undergraduate students, 80 graduate students,

and 5 postdoctoral researchers. The  classes we offer  cover all  important 
branchs of  Physics  as well  as  Science  Education.

Main research topics currently conducted by our faculty members
include theoretical and experimental condensed matter physics, string theory,
cosmology, particle and high energy physics,  biophysics, statistical physics,
atomic and molecular, optical physics, and science education. Please refer
